Current Philanthropy Quilt

The 2018/2019 Philanthropic project was a "Wonky" Log cabin project

The overall design/ Creation of this quilt was done by first creating the fabric. All of the fabrics (minus the grey) were hand died by the members using ombre/ gradation, traditional tye dying and Shibori methods.

After the fabrics were dyed, the members created individual wonky log cabins. There were no requirements for size or shape of the final block. Lastly, once the blocks were created, the quilt was pieced together using improvisational piecing methods to keep with the organic shapes of the blocks. This is also true of the back of the quilt.

Final piecing and topstitching was completed by Danielle Ketcham.

This quilt will be donated to the Belgrade Middle School as a fundraiser for 2019-2020 students to go to DC.
